Tele'a Andrews

Tele’a Andrews is currently the Acting Deputy Chief Executive for Māori Communities and Partnerships for the Ministry of Social Development. In his substantive role he leads the Office of the Chief Executive, which provides high level strategic, organisational and operational advice to Chief Executive Debbie Power, and manages key external relationships across the social sector as well as across the entire state sector.

Tele’a joined the Ministry of Social Development in July 2023 after working in Thailand for the United Nations Development Programme. He has a wide range of government experiences working with Executive Government, Parliamentary services, MBIE and MoE. He’s also held senior executive roles in the community health sector and holds a Masters of Public Policy from the University of Auckland.
