Whakamanawa is about inspiring, encouraging and connecting us across our social sector, enabling attendees to return to their communities and hapori revitalised, with new tools and maatauranga for the mahi ahead.
As the host of Whakamanawa, Social Service Providers Te Pai Ora o Aotearoa warmly invites you and your fellow kaimahi to gather with us in beautiful Ōtautahi at Te Pae Christchurch Convention Centre on 16 & 17 September. We welcome everyone who works in Aotearoa New Zealand's social sector to join the 250+ fellow delegates from throughout the community-based social services, the government social sector and a wide range of connected spaces.
After Whakamanawa 2024 you will be inspired, informed, reconnected and ready to take ideas for action back to your organisation. You will be revitalised to take up the challenges and opportunities of working in te ao huri huri together with Aotearoa New Zealand’s children, rangatahi, families and whānau.

We understand that attending Whakamanawa 2024 can be a large expense for many of our members and we want to make sure that everyone has the opportunity to take part. We have a limited number of discounted registrations ($300 for an individual) available for Te Pai Ora SSPA members who are based outside of Ōtautahi and have an organisational budget of less than $250,000 per year.
If you would like to apply for one of these registrations please contact our CEO Belinda Himiona, ceo@sspa.org.nz and provide the name of the kaimahi you are applying for, their role within your organisation and your organisation name.
