Te Pai Ora SSPA submission: Redress System for Abuse in Care Bill

Te Pai Ora SSPA has made a submission to the Social Services and Community Select Committee on the Redress System for Abuse in Care Bill.  We are asking for the Government to abandon the Bill and to instead listen to survivor voices and implementing all the recommendations from the Royal Commission's. 

The inquiry's recommendations have already provided a clear path towards addressing the needs of survivors and their whānau. This includes making redress available to all survivors without exclusion, honouring Te Tiriti and not limiting the effect of an apology on liability.
