Building Resilience Together: Emergency Preparedness for Kaimahi and communities
Are you ready for emergency preparedness – from personal readiness to workplace resilience? This engaging session was designed specifically for kaimahi in the social services sector. It outlines how to prepare yourself, your whānau, and your community for emergencies in Aotearoa.
This session follows a joint presentation from Whakamanawa 2024, members of the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) Social & Community Resilience Team. The presenters dive further into the Emergency Management System in Aotearoa, including how social service providers can contribute to strengthening system-wide resilience.
They also provide an update on an exciting new project to develop a National Community Resilience Framework and share timelines for future engagement opportunities.
Presented by Maggie Chum, Senior Advisor and Zsenai Logan, Senior Communications Advisor.
