This Cyber Smart Week, Erica Boscato from CERT NZ joins us to talk about CERT NZ’s role, the type and extent of common cyber threats, and some simple steps you can take to keep secure when operating online. She will also take us through some examples of common scams and provide tips on how you can spot these – and what to do if you get caught up in one.
CERT NZ is a government department which works to support businesses, organisations and individuals who are affected by cyber security incidents.
Erica Boscato is CERT NZ’s Senior Advisor, Engagement and Partnerships, and works with community groups, businesses, and other government agencies to help build New Zealanders’ cyber resilience. Erica has a background in financial complaint investigations and is passionate about raising awareness of cyber threats to help protect New Zealanders from fraud and scams.
